phpBB 3 Administration (Rules)

Postby ~HG~ » Fri Apr 17, 2009 8:42 am

This tutorial applies only if you intend to have a page or a forum set up for rules specific to your board.

If you intend to have rules set up, I suggest that you create a Topic within one of your forums for Rules. If you have an Admin forum, then I suggest that you create it there and then lock the topic.

Once it is posted, you can then copy the URL which will be used to add to each forum and or sub forum that you now create in your ACP.

In order to make it easy to copy the URL at any time at a later date, I suggest you dave the link in a text editor that you can access easily through your documents.

You do not need to add the link to categories.

When you set up a new forum or sub forum, you can copy the link directly into the box where the rules URL is set and then at the top of each forum that it is posted in, you will see a link to your forum rules.

You can set different rules for different forums if you so wish.

An example of this can be found on this board with the phpBB Reviews forum where the Guidelines link has been used for the rules relating to that forum.
